CSCR is a part of Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. The centre has modular laboratories equipped for cellular and molecular biology research and core space for shared equipment.

In collaboration with faculty of other departments of CMC, the CSCR initiative would enable significant engagement between basic and clinical scientists aimed to accelerate biomedical translation of stem cell and regenerative medicine research.
